Hi everyone, welcome to Year 5's class page. I am Miss Reeder and I am the Year 5 class teacher. Mrs Walton will support the children throughout the week as the class Teaching Assistant. The children will also be taught by Miss Mac on Thursday afternoons. 

We have PE on a Thursday afternoon, please send your children in their PE kit and school hoodie. Earrings need to be removed or covered with plasters and PE bottoms need to be plain black jogging bottoms, shorts or leggings. 

During the spring term the theme that runs through the subjects is space. In English, our class text is Hugo Cabret. The children will be writing a narrative based on this story. In science, we will be learning about forces including gravity and friction. This will lead into space after half term. In art, the children will be looking at retrofuturism which also relates to space.
