WELCOME TO YEAR 5

Welcome to Year 5's class page. You will find all the information you need including our timetable, long-term plan, and expectations in Y5. 

As our children progress through Year 5, we prepare them for the ‘big’ step up to their final year of primary school in Year 6. High expectations of behaviour from the teachers and the developing use of independence and resilience in Year 5 are key to the children’s progression in maturity.

During the autumn term in Geography, the children will be learning all about the United Kingdom using atlases and globes to investigate counties. In science, the children will be learning all about life cycles which involves lots of investigations. In art we will be looking at sculpture and 3D; discovering different sculptures from a range of artists before creating our own.
