Data Protection

The data protection act 1998 is being replaced on 25tMay 2018 by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Changes to the regulations are reflected in the new privacy notices for pupils and staff. These notices provide explanations of how pupil and staff data is used by school, Lancashire Local Authority (LA) and the Department for Education (DfE).

The notices also advise on how you access this data and how long we store it for.

Brookfield CP School is registered as a Data Controller with the ICO, as required. Our registration reference number is Z1564846.

The data protection officer within school is the headteacher. The headteacher can be contacted on 01772 700636 or head@brookfield.lancs.sch.uk

For more information, go to the Information Commissioner’s Office website. The information Commissioner is the UK’s independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.
