WELCOME TO YEAR 4

Welcome to the class page for Year 4 where you will find out key information about our timetable and class expectations. In Year 4, the children will be continuing to develop their independence through a variety of exciting and engaging topics. To further enhance and embed the children's learning, regular school trips, visitors and themed days are planned throughout the year.

In Year 4 high expectations of behaviour from the teachers and the developing use of independence and resilience are key to the children’s progression in maturity.

During the Autumn Term in Science, the children will be learning about living things and their habitats followed by animals including humans all of which involve plenty of hands on investigations. In Geography, the children will learn about deserts including the different climates and biomes followed by building on their understanding of World History by learning about the Anglo Saxons, Scots and Picts in History.  Art lessons will involve developing still life drawings before designing, making and evaluating a range of structures in Design and Technology.

Important Information

Class Dojo will be used as our main communication platform where teachers can post important information, reminders and a chance for us to celebrate our learning.  Please keep your eyes peeled for regular updates!
