Reading

We encourage children to read at home at least three times each week to help develop their fluency, confidence and enjoyment of reading. Please remember to sign your child’s reading record each time they read. Reading records will be checked regularly by myself and the Year 3 team.

Times Table Rockstars

Each child has been provided with a username and password for Times Table Rockstars. These details have been sent home in a letter and should be kept safely in their reading diary. We encourage children to practise their times tables regularly at home to build their confidence and prepare for the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check.

Spelling

Children will receive six new spellings every Monday to practise at home throughout the week. We encourage regular practise to help children develop their spelling confidence and accuracy. A short spelling test will take place every Friday to monitor progress and celebrate their learning.
