Attendance at Brookfield Community Primary School

At Brookfield Community Primary School, we believe that every day in school matters. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for children to achieve their full potential, develop positive relationships, and enjoy all aspects of school life. Our aim is to create a welcoming, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.

We are committed to promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the school and work in partnership with families to ensure that every child attends regularly. Our whole-school attendance target is 97%, with all pupils encouraged to strive for 100% attendance whenever possible.

We understand that every family may face challenges from time to time. When attendance becomes a concern, we work closely with parents and carers to identify any barriers and provide appropriate support. Our pastoral and attendance teams are committed to helping children attend school regularly and ensuring they feel happy, safe, and successful.

Attendance is monitored carefully, and reasons for absence are recorded promptly and consistently. We celebrate good attendance and improvements in attendance through rewards, recognition, and whole-school initiatives, while providing support and guidance where needed.

Together, we can ensure every child benefits from the opportunities, experiences, and learning that excellent attendance provides.

Every lesson counts. Every day matters.
