Hi everyone, welcome to Year 5's class page. I am Miss Beck and I am the Year 5 class teacher. Mrs Walton will support the children throughout the week as the class Teaching Assistant. The children will also be taught by Miss Mac on Thursday afternoons. 

We have PE on a Thursday afternoon, please send your children in their School PE kit and school hoodie. Earrings need to be removed or covered with plasters and PE bottoms need to be plain black jogging bottoms, shorts or leggings. 

During the Autumn term, our class text is The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. We will focus on this throughout our English and Reading Lessons. The children will be writing a narrative based on this story and a Non-Chronological report on a mythical creature inspired by the Centaurs. In science, we will be learning about animals and living things, whilst in History we will be exploring the vikings and even receive a visit from one!
