Our Learning Environment
"A great classroom environment comes from the heart. It's built on love, laughter and a feeling that everyone belongs."
Our Learning Environment
We are proud to share our learning environment with you. It is a safe space for our children, where risks can be taken, questions can be asked, trust is created, relationships are formed, feelings are shared, and mindsets grow.
Both the indoor and outdoor classrooms form our spacious learning environment. Within the environment, you will find all areas of learning. Each area of learning has communication and language, physical development, literacy and mathematics prompts. We feel is it really important for children to be exposed to as many opportunities as possible to discuss, ask questions, read, write and make links. Our learning environment has well-balanced with child-initiated and adult-led outcomes and interests. There are areas for 'free choice' as well as the topic/stories being taught at each point in the year, being found within the classroom.
Within the classroom and outdoors, we are also proud of our regulation areas. It is essential that children feel safe and can find comfort in their emotions. There are a number of 'safe spaces' within the EYFS environment, including the safe seats, the den and happy huts.
Please note that the environment does change regularly to fit in line with the topic. The layout is subject to change throughout the year to adapt to the children's readiness into Year 1.
