At Brookfield, we believe that real-life experiences bring learning to life. Throughout the year, we provide children with a range of visits, visitors and experiences that enhance our curriculum and give children opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.

Visitors from different professions, cultures and communities help children to make meaningful connections between their learning and the wider world, while educational visits provide opportunities to explore, investigate and experience new places and environments.

These experiences help to broaden children’s horizons, spark curiosity and create memorable learning opportunities. By providing rich and varied experiences alongside our curriculum, we help children to build knowledge, develop confidence and make connections that deepen their learning.

Throughout the year, children have the opportunity to take part in three educational visits, with one planned for each term — Autumn, Spring and Summer. Each visit is carefully chosen to complement and enhance our curriculum, providing children with meaningful opportunities to explore, experience and apply their learning beyond the classroom.
